Visit Minocqua - a Year-Round Destination

Spring and Summer bring craft shows, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, parades, festivals, camping, theatre, concerts and perfect weather in which to enjoy them.

Independence Day in Minocqua is full of family fun. The day begins with a kiddie parade before the main parade, which is followed by the Lakeland Community Concert Band at Torpy Park. And after a performance by the Min-Aqua Bats water ski team, the fireworks begin. Free shuttles run in and out of downtown all day.

Fall and Winter bring autumn’s colors, hunting and trapping seasons, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and cozy nights around a fire.

Each fall brings Beef-a-Rama, a Minocqua tradition almost 50 years old that has brought nearly 500,000 visitors to the area over the years. It is a fun-filled celebration complete with a 5K run, roast cook-offs, games, costumes, live music, a craft show, and delicious local fare to complement the ever-present beef. Each year an entire ton of beef is served to over 12,000 people during the Beef-a-Rama celebration.

And since Minocqua is one of the snowmobile capitals of the world, each winter brings thousands of snowmobilers to the area to ride the area’s 1600 miles of trails, compete in races, shows, and just enjoy each other’s company.

Every season in Minocqua is unique and offers a variety of activities to suit any visitor.
